Driss Chaoui – Designer

Colours and lettering enthusiast living with a cat roommate. My goal is to capture the essence of a story and create an impactful long-lasting piece of art that sells.

I studied at Axe Sud École Condé and I graduated with a master in graphic design and art direction. I then worked as a designer for various companies before dedicating myself to illustration full-time. I collaborated with international clients, including kid magazines, literary and poetry journals, publishers and indie authors.

Design is a collaborative process and I make it a point to include my clients at every stage of the creative process. Through my expertise, I can guide you to take the best decisions to enhance your story and catch your audience’s attention.

A typical collaboration starts with a one-hearty conversation on your story, your characters and your expectations. Please tell me all about the quirkiest details because I, myself, am obsessed with these kind of informations.

Once we discuss the deadlines and all technical details, you will be updated with a rough sketch, and then a cleaner linework and a colour test. By this point, most of our creative decisions would be set. Of course minor tweaks can still be operated once the final artwork is delivered.

By the end, you’ll have a unique eye-catching artwork to present to your audience.

Projects are drawn by hand using digital tools. I mostly create lettering myself, resulting in more unique pieces.

My services include illustration, book covers, and lettering. I also assist on interior designs.
